Social Security Disability

If you’ve become disabled and cannot work, we can help you file for the social security disability income (“SSDI”) benefits from the Social Security Administration (the “SSA”).  We can also represent you in the appeals process if your claim was rejected.

When we learn about your case, we can explain what is needed to qualify for SSDI benefits.  If you do not meet the work eligibility requirements but nonetheless meet certain asset requirements, you may be eligible to receive what is known as Supplemental Security Income (“SSI”) benefits.

Our Fees –  Federal law dictates the maximum amount that attorneys can charge in Social Security Disability (“SSD”) cases.  Normally, this amount is capped at 25% of the back pay amount or $7,200 (whichever is less).[1]   We do not receive any fee for social disability payments that do not become due until after the initial award.  As a result, if we are retained at the outset of a case, in most cases our fee will be significantly less than if we are retained at a later date as the “back pay” amount will be much less.
